When it comes to applying for GTO recognition, applicants must address the following:

-
the Queensland requirements as outlined in the 'Application as a group training organisation' form, and
-
the National Standards for Group Training Organisations (PDF, 64KB), in accordance with Queensland audit arrangements for GTOs.
To successfully demonstrate that all national standards have been met, applicants must engage an external auditor, at their own expense, to conduct a compliance audit. (Note: The Department of Employment, Small Business and Training (DESBT) will consider, on application, interstate compliance audits). For more information, visit the Group training organisation audits section on the DESBT website.

During your application, it’s also important to familiarise yourself with the operating requirements for GTOs in Queensland, and understand how GTOs are monitored and evaluated in this state.
