A not-for-profit mentored apprenticeship organisation, WPC Group is one of Australia’s largest employers of apprentices and trainees. With offices in Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney, and Perth, we currently have over 500 apprentices and trainees working with more than 200 host employers.
Established in 1982, WPC Group specializes in flexible employment, recruitment and training solutions, and connects young people with the training that they need to land, and then keep, a job in the real world. We focus on the hospitality, horticulture, automotive, business industries and Local Government and facilitate niche apprenticeship and traineeship programs, including GreenSkills (which targets sustainability sector roles) and Shake A Leg (an indigenous apprenticeship program).
With more than 30 years of industry experience, WPC Group believes that one-on-one mentorships are extremely important in ensuring the long-term engagement of apprentices and trainees. As such, WPC Group provides a dedicated mentor for every apprentice to keep them on track; this is why 80% of WPC Group apprentices complete their certifications (as compared to the national average of just 48%).
WPC Group is committed to eradicating the risks commonly faced by an employer when running an apprenticeship or trainee program. We place only high-quality, workplace-ready candidates into businesses, removing the expensive and time prohibitive recruitment process. Once an apprentice is placed, we handle all administrative tasks including payroll, WorkCover, human resources and industrial relations requirements.
WPC Group apprentices and trainees quickly become skilled, valuable employees.
